Our Mission
We are a 501c3 charity. The mission of this page is to connect the needs of our great Lake Cities community with those who are willing and able to provide help, support, and resources.
Our mission is to concentrate on the needs of our local seniors, veterans, animals and the care of our community. We will be planning and coordinating many fundraising events used to bless the community including filling the food pantries, supporting the animal shelter, supporting veterans and seniors and a fun fundraiser to fill Santa’s sleigh 🛷 this year!
We are working together with a few partners locally to fill in cracks.
If you live in the Lake Cities area and you are in need or know of someone in need then please reach out by PM or email.
If you’re able to be a blessing to others, this page can facilitate that.
If you’re a local business that wants to help others, post it here and we will make sure you are recognized.
Our goal is to bring the Lake Cities community together to help the community and build it up! To strengthen our town and walk in love by serving others.
We will update the work we do on this site for all to see along with progress reports of what this community is doing to help this community.
It takes a Village, or as we like to say, some Lake Cities Hometown Help.
Thank you for joining, we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️❤️🧡💛💚💙
Our Story
I often say we're one decision away from being homeless. It may not be completely accurate, but I do believe sometimes bad things happen to good people who then need some help to get back on the right track. I have a mile of thank you‘s that go way back to my childhood starting with my grandparents. We are blessed to live in a community where neighbors look out for neighbors.
I fell in love with watching people in every situation reaching out to help with the Lake Dallas Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting fundraiser. It was such a success that friends were reaching out about private needs and drives. I wanted a local page where the community could post their fundraisers and we could raise awareness for our projects. Lake Cities Hometown Helps was born somewhere between Angel Tree tags and sorting donation bags. Each time we asked the community for a need, they pulled together.
Every day brings a new a chance to make a difference together and we are so excited to continue growing!
We wish to walk alongside and pick up the forgotten that may have fallen between the cracks in the areas that are dear to this foundation. There's so much to do in the community, we can't do everything but we can provide sunshine and support with your help!
We support local food pantries and explore any open opportunities to help make our little corner of the world a better place.
We have a special love for seniors and veterans, and we wish to support them in any way we can.
We support our local animal shelters and their staff, and we try to raise awareness for abandoned animals.
We wish to support our community adult daycare and the hearts that help them daily.
We plan to have a Christmas in July fundraiser to help prepare for our Christmas toy drive. We have a partner who will be delivering toys to all boys and girls. Christmas should be the most magical time of the year for children and we loved being a part of Christmas magic last year! We want to continue participating in the community's Christmas celebrations and collect more toys every year!
Without your support and kindness we wouldn’t be able to grant wishes and spread sunshine. We are truly grateful for each donation and member.
Grow and glow with us!
